"Enjoy a taste of pie at the Cape as you dine at Speck Pizza. You can sit and watch as the “Master Pizza Maker” throw and compile your choice of fresh ingredients down to it being placed in a real pizza oven, and carved into delicious pie slices in full view as they deliver a hit pizza to your table— exquisite. The crust and under carriage was stupendous. Nicole — our server — was fantastic. The crowd was extra exuberant as they devoured the delicious slices. In addition, the tiramisu, imported from Italy — was exceptionally tasty and pleasing to the palate."

"This place is really good. Great food, great service, nice atmosphere and a really nice location. I had the shrimp Greek salad and risotto balls. Both were really delicious. The Negroni was also quite to my liking. Eat here, walk to the river and back to watch the sunset. Perfect Cape Girardeau thing to do."

"If you all want an authentic Italian pizza experience, look no further! Gabriel and his team do an excellent job from the food, astethics, down to the wood fire oven they use! While I love all the pizzas, I’m a true classic with the margherita. Literally reminded me of the excellent pizza we had in Italy and I am glad it’s in a local business in missouri! As an addition, tired of paying for over priced espresso and cappuccinos? They’ve got that covered too! $2 for a legit Doppio, how can you beat that!?"

"Very high quality pizza. Definitely the best in the area and probably for hundreds of miles too. Top knotch ingredients and you can tell the owner/chef puts a lot of love and care into the product. Absolutely worth a visit and I will definitely be back. Highly recommended. From someone who spent over a decade living in NYC, this is excellent Neopolitan style pizza."

"The Picante pizza was so so yummy! The Arancine or “risotto balls” were DELICIOUS! We also had the Speck Specialty pizza and the eggplant Parmesan which were very good. Can’t wait to go back and try the gelato!"

"The food really is very good! If you’re going for the pizza, that’s definitely the highlight and the main reason to stop in. The pizza was genuinely great, well-cooked, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The crust had a good texture, the toppings were generous without being overwhelming, and everything tasted fresh. It’s the kind of pizza that’s satisfying without feeling heavy, and it’s easy to see why this place has a following. The service was decent, but not something that stood out in either direction. The staff wasn’t rude or dismissive, and our order was handled correctly, but there also wasn’t much extra effort or friendliness that made the experience feel memorable. It felt very “do the job and move on,” which is fine, but it didn’t elevate the visit. If the service were a little more attentive or engaging, it would really complement the quality of the food. As for the atmosphere, it was cool but nothing special. The space has a relaxed, casual vibe that works well for a pizza place, but it didn’t feel particularly unique or memorable. The wood fired pizza oven is cool. It’s comfortable enough to sit and eat, but it’s not somewhere you’d go specifically for the ambiance. Overall, Speck’s is worth visiting, especially if you’re in Cape Girardeau and craving really good pizza. While the service and atmosphere don’t quite match how strong the food is, the quality of the pizza alone makes it a place I’d recommend and return to."
